His sculpture is the embodiment of the human presence a  confrontation with its own predatory nature, as it is  the life.

His works are an expression of venturing into the potential of man, strong sculptures, contracted anatomies struggling with the daily intentions of existence.

Elena digs, enters the limbs, grasps the vitality of the anatomy and the will to live, highlights the posture and the psychological aspect of being human.

Elena Mutinelli's works are present in important collections both in Italy and abroad.

Naturally, in his highly realistic compositions, one also feels the weight of the bodies, with the anatomies that artists prefer. But then, as in a famous sculpture by Martini, the shape shakes in the backs, due to their volumes and to that natural rope that is the backbone, with its expressive knots. Bodies, in their strength; faces, in their characters; hands in nervous movements are the dominant subjects of Mutinelli's research who today, in "Noi, not even damned", turns to great history, with lost heroes whose shadows remain today, to which she turns, to make them become men again: “In those faces I find the strength and the absolute of our fathers compared to us, not even damned, orphans of heroes”.
